1. Information We Collect

We collect information directly from you when you register an account, place an order, list botanical specimens, or communicate through the platform:

  • Account Credentials: Username, display name, email address (support@cactibid.com communications), and password hash.
  • Vendor Store Information: Store name, business identification, vendor contact details, and payout preferences.
  • Order & Transaction Data: Recipient name, physical shipping address, billing address, items purchased, bid histories, and order timestamps.
  • Technical & Log Data: Standard IP addresses, browser types, device identifiers, and session cookies required to manage shopping carts, login authentication, and security.

2. Payment Processing & Stripe Connect

Payment processing services on CactiBid are facilitated directly through Stripe Connect.

  • CactiBid does not collect, process, store, or view your full credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or debit CVVs.
  • All payment and identity verification information provided during checkout or vendor onboarding is transmitted directly to Stripe and handled under Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
  • For vendor payouts, Stripe handles required tax reporting identification and direct banking routing.

3. Data Sharing Between Buyers and Vendors

Because CactiBid operates as a multi-vendor peer-to-peer venue:

  • When an order is completed, the independent vendor receives the buyer’s full name, shipping address, and order specifics solely to prepare, package, and dispatch the botanical specimens.
  • Strict Restriction: Vendors are strictly prohibited from retaining, selling, sharing, or using buyer contact details for unsolicited marketing, off-platform solicitations, or any purpose outside direct order fulfillment.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to advertisers. We share information only with trusted infrastructure providers essential to our operations:

  • Hostinger: Web server hosting, database storage, and incoming mailbox management.
  • Brevo: Transactional SMTP delivery engine for system notifications, receipts, and outbid alerts.
  • Stripe: Direct charge and marketplace payment facilitation.

5. Data Retention & Your Rights

  • We retain account records, transaction histories, and bid logs as necessary to comply with legal, tax, and anti-fraud obligations.
  • You may request an export of your personal data or permanent deletion of your CactiBid account at any time by contacting us at support@cactibid.com.
